The film is set in the Ukrainian town of Konotop. Centurion saw the town's best bride Helen on the fair and immediately fell in love and decided to marry her, but very soon he realized that love could be mutual only if he ask evil forces for a favour. A young Konotop witch who pesters the city comes to help him. And droughts around Konotop was also made by her.
