This movie tells the story of a young accordionist Eskin. His childhood is spent within the post-war period in the mining village in Kazakhstan. His father was imprisoned for feeding the captured Japanese. Despite the difficult workdays, fights with the guys, Eskin is the only one who can play the accordion, and this is his great advantage.
