M. Koshkin is a talented constructor. He is an author of T-34, the most successful tank of World War II. The movie will tell how he used all his forces to make his project move in 1940, on the eve of the time when the Soviet army felt a need to have new battle machines. The bureaucratic games resulted in failing to show Koshkin’s tank to the superiors at a presentation. The only thing the engineer could do was to drive two prototype models to Moscow from the backwoods on his own.
