Ben Randall, a legendary rescue swimmer once lost his entire team in a terrible accident. To find his place in life and forget about that terrible event, he decides to go to the Coast Guard, where his responsibilities include the training of young lifeguards. There, he encounters a young and talented swimmer "with character", Jake Fischer. During the training, Ben helps Jake combine his character with his abilities.
