Detective Nadezhda Postnikova found herself in the middle of all the life problems at once, just like in the telescopic sight. Everything began when her friend, businessman Miloslavsky, left the city for urgent duties without answering the main question of their relationship – whether they will be together. But everyday work life didn’t let Nadezhda get depressed because of that. An awfully mutilated body is found, and a recidivist with the nickname Spinoza is arrested. Nadezhda suspects that Spinoza, who draws her human sympathy and compassion, is not guilty. Postnikova assures more and more that Spinoza is crossed up by the people, who fight for power in the criminal world in the city. Nadezhda starts fighting for Spinoza’s rescue. Everyone doesn’t like it. Postnikova gets another blow by the police superiors. They hint to her that businessman Miloslavsky is involved in the criminal activity. She gets suspended from the investigation and accused of inaptitude. Nadezhda feels that her personal life cracked.
