On March 6 there was an evening of boxing at the Kiev Sports Palace. The most anticipated fight is the one of 33-year-old Ukrainian Vyacheslav Uzelkov with Frenchman Doudou Engumbu. At stake is the title of WBO Intercontinental light heavyweight champion, who is currently owned by the Ukrainian. Vyacheslav Uzelkov’s enemy, a native of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Dudu Engumbu trains and lives in Toulouse (France). He stands in professional boxing since the spring of 2007, had 34 fights, won 30 (11 of them – with a knockout) and had 4 defeats. Engumbu is 31 years old; his height is 180 cm, boxing in the front right-hander. Over a six-year professional career he won titles of WBC International Champion and Champion of the African Boxing Union (twice), as well as Time World Champion in a minor version of WBF. The last time the French-Congolese fighter went to the ring in October of last year in France, winning over the local boxer Yoann Bloy.
