Just two weeks after her husband's death, Maureen returns from a cruise with a Briton Oliver Vance. Her son, Scott, still can not believe the tragic death of his father. He is convinced that Maureen and Oliver have known each other for much longer than two weeks. Scott meets with an attractive daughter of Vance, his future stepfather. Together, Scott and Kelly begin the investigation of the death of his father. However, Scott soon realizes that no one around can be trusted.
