After an unsuccessful attempt to settle in Italy, Vlad returns to the Romanian village to his grandfather, where he is trying to investigate the mysterious death of a local old alcoholic. Traces of the crime lead him to the former communist Constantine Tiresku, the collision with whom makes it clear that a rich landowner and his wife turned into very real bloodsuckers.
