The film is based on the real events. In 1941 the Soviet troopers’ group was disbarked in the Carpathian foothills. Only one of them managed to pass the enemy defensive screens. But he has to yield himself a prisoner according to his own free will in order to safe the lives of the local peaceful population whom the German punishers threaten to shoot if a Red Army man will contunie to make a stand.
