Family of Indian immigrants, whom fate has thrown in a small town in Provence, decides to open a cafe of oriental cuisine across the street of a famous restaurant "Weeping Willow", bastion of French culinary traditions, the owner of which, Madame Malory, is more than anything else proud that her institution was awarded a star in the catalog "Michelin". At first, Madame Malory does not hide her disgust towards her noisy neighbors and their exotic habits, but gradually the war for customers between the two restaurants is replaced by a shaky truce, especially when it turns out that the young chef-immigrant Hassan has perfect taste, and French cuisine recipes obey him as easily as the secrets of Indian spices.
