Dr. Susan Foxley is investigating the deaths of three miners. Her ex-husband, a pit boss, claims that he saw a molten lava in the mine. Meanwhile, a chain of unexplained deaths associated with underground poisoned gas disturbs the city. Soon, Susan and Matt come to the conclusion that the whole region is endangered.
