Eight months ago, in the family of Howie and Becca Corbett a terrible tragedy occured - the death of their young son. The spouses still can't recover from its consequences. In their own way they are trying to restore peace of mind: Howie plays squash with friends, Becca spends entire days cooking, both looking for support groups of psychological mutual aid. But time is running out and all efforts are in vain. Their marriage is bursting at the seams, relationships with the family stretched to the limit, social circle is shrinking before their eyes. Paradoxically, a ray of hope pierces the veil of hopelessness when the fate brings Becca with an unwitting culprit of their misfortunes - a young comic book author, Jason. Together, the heroes have to understand whether the wounds of the past someday get healed.
