Pre-revolutionary Georgia in the beginning of the XX century. Platon Samanishvili is a descendant of a poor ancient noble family. One day he gets horrified to hear the news that his father is going to marry for the second time. If his new stepmother gives birth to a son, Platon will have to share his meager estate with them and his own four children. So he decides to go in search of a future wife for his father who can’t have children. His journey ends in success. Following old traditions he abducts the bride and brings her to the groom. But after some time, a new black-eyed baby appears in their family.
