The plot revolves around Beth who saves a bedraggled dog not far from a motorway. As her husband is always busy she is forced to spend the most of her time alone. Soon she and the dog become close friends. During a trip to their daughter’s wedding, the dog goes missing. Beth asks the guests to help her to find it. They divide into groups and search high and low for the missing dog and in the process find that they also need to mend their own relationships.
