Viktor Makarovich has been working at the school as a singing teacher and the childish chorus curator for all his life. He never got around to settle down to married life, putting out all his soulful warmth on the pupils. But now, because of the illness, soon he will have to leave his labour of love. A schoolboy Misha Kutuzov tries to relieve this complicated period. It is a trouble history of the friendship between a young boy and the man which life has already reached its downhill.
