The film takes place in 1899 in a famous Parisian nightclub. Moulin Rouge is not just a nightclub or a luxury brothel, but also a place where people can succumb to temptation and feel the atmosphere of feast, love and Bohemia. This is a place of tragedy and comedy, luxurious interiors of the beginning of the century and modern music rhythms. Two men are fighting for the love of the most famous courtesans of Paris, Satin. Christian is a poor writer, who plunged with his head into the crazy world of nightlife. The second is a rich Duke, ready to buy the whole Moulin Rouge just to spend the night with Satin.
