A girl of 24 years moved to Las Vegas, where she found a job with a good-natured fat man Dink Haymovits who holds an illegal bookmaker firm. Snug Dink received a good education, but distinguished himself in his native New York with fraud on bets, because of what he fled into the gambling capital of the United States. Haymovits continued gambling with his partner, bookmaker Bernard Rose, who lives on Long Island. Being a math genius, the two amassed a fortune from interest rates and naive customers, while Beth learned many tricks from them.
