When the Silesian town of Wałbrzych is shaken by a series of mysterious disappearances of children, journalist Alicja Tabor arrives there. Years later, she returns to her native land. The stubborn journalist wants to meet the families of the missing children and solve the mystery which the police were powerless to solve. Through a private investigation, Alicja uncovers a trail of dramatic events that began decades ago, and now the woman must confront a new threat and something from which she has been running all her adult life.
