The mutilated corpse of a man is found in the Oder. The victim is the architect Mariusz Roszewski. The case ends up in police "archive X" because the perpetrators of the crime cannot be found. A few years later, the police receive an anonymous denunciation in which the murder is linked to the plot of the novel "Amok" by Krystian Bala. The case is investigated by Inspector Jacek Sokolski.
