Shortly after his novel ‘Infinite Jest’ (which later entered into the list of the best 100 novels of the XX century according to the Time) has been released, writer David Foster Wallace goes on a trip with a Rolling Stone reporter David Lipsky, who is preparing an article about him. Within five days they’ve developed trust-based relationship, sharing each other’s innermost thoughts and desires. Anyway, the interview was never published. Tapes with the interview went into Lipsky’s closet, and he and David never met again.
