The film tells the story of Toby Marshall, a genius mechanic who takes part in underground races. In order to keep his family workshop he is forced to partner with a rich and arrogant former IndyCar races Dino Brewster. When things finally start successfully developing, Dino sets Toby up, leaving him accuse of a crime he did not commit. In order to achieve his goal he has to do the impossible and prove that the most nondescript races can finish first.
