The action takes place in 1898 when it was decided to build a bridge in one of the provinces of Africa. Together with a group of workers, engineer Patterson, who came to Tsavo from London, faces a case of lion attack on a man. The man manages to ambush and kill the bloodthirsty beast, but later, the construction workers begin to die again.
