The Ershovs lived for 18 happy years. In her youth, Katya had talent and vocation, but taking care of children and beloved husband gradually turned her into a housewife. Suddenly, the measured life is crumbling: during one of his work trips Mark dies. Investigating the circumstances it appears that Mark led a double life for two years and was married to another woman. Nina did not know anything about Mark’s family. He lied to her, and she was ready to break her successful career to have a baby from him. The brother of the late, Roman, comes back from the long journey. His attempts to reconcile women's fall in fiasco. And he also comes close to Nina. But she, having gone through betrayal, is not ready for love. Without taking into account others’ feelings, she would just use Roman, having given birth to his desired child. Meanwhile, Katya also tries to establish her personal life: she begins dating a man who has liked her for a long time, seeking mutual understanding with a teenage son and trying to get back to work. Gradually, Nina and Katya overcome the dislike for each other: they have nothing more to divide and from now on, each of them has to let go of the past and live their life.
