The story began in Brooklyn in New York City in 1880. A nine-year-old boy named Cedric is the son of a modest teacher of music who knows in his birthday that his English grandfather calls him to himself to make him the heir to his vast fortune, large estates and the title of Lord. The strict grandfather, the famous British aristocrat disowned his son, who got married against his will. But now he wants to raise his grandchild in pure British tradition. The young Lord makes a good impression on the old man with his sincere kindness and charm, besides resembles his father who left this world prematurely.
