The film tells the story of the hard life of Chinese people who did not have luck in the beginning of the last century to live in China and moved to America seeking for it. But the "land of liberty" was not free for everyone. The pain and humiliation awaited them in their new country. And only a high sense of unity and faith in the indomitable spirit of the Chinese, embodied in the film in the form of the Hero, endowed with mystical powers, helped them defend their dignity and right to live their lives.
