The movie is dedicated to the hero pioneer Volodya Dubinin, who was a scout and died while demining Kerch. When the Nazis captured the Crimea, Volodya volunteered to help the partisans who were hiding in the catacombs near Kerch. Together with his friends, the boy was engaged in reconnaissance of the state of the German troops stationed in his native land.
