Bowfinger is a story about a mediocre filmmaker and old fox, Bobby Bowfinger. He decided to shoot the greatest action movie. He needs a script and a superstar in order to do this. He has the script, but the star, who he imagines in the lead role, refuses to star. Bobby does not give up – he shoots the actor secretly and put the shots into the film. It is about sinister alien creatures which come to Earth in rain drops and attack humans. Secondly, he wants to get a superstar in his movie! And it is Kit Ramsey, a real hero of action movies. In this case legions of obsessed fans with thick wallets will rush to the cinemas to see the idol in the Bobby’s movie. And then he can calmly rest on his laurels and give autographs. There is only one small problem: Kit Ramsey is not going to star in the movie. And then unsinkable Bowfinger finds a way out. He will shoot Kit Ramsey by hidden camera, creating situations which suit the scenario.
