The chief of the handicraft industry, Byvalov, is assigned to prepare an amateur group from the city of Melkovodsk to take part in an all-Union parade in Moscow. Byvalov is afraid to send local teams because of poor preparation. Then two creative groups decide to come to the capital on their own down the Volga. This version of the movie is colorized.
