The story is about a nineteen-year-old Garrard Colney, the son of a Baptist pastor from the American backwoods, who discovers his homosexuality. The guy confides to his parents, but they insist that Garrard should take a course of “corrective” therapy. Soon a conflict is brewing between the teenager and his doctor. The hero can lose everything at once: relatives, friends and his faith.
