Events of this autobiographic novel take place in 1947 in a small mining town Suchany, which look more like a labor camp with the only one aim – to provide the country with as much “black gold”, as possible. Valerka and Galya are teenagers who live at one barrack. They are not only dreaming of a future happy life, but also love everything they used to in this town, forgotten by God Himself.
