An ordinary Leningrad resident Volodya is a young man, who finds himself in Marseille of 1928 after an argument with his wife. He is detained there and accused of murders. Then he is put to a ship to take him to America. But the ship wrecks. Except for the survived Volodya, there is also a saved girl Vivian, who is as like as two peas with his wife.
