Despite a firmly established authority of Bolsheviks in the whole country, there still are centers of resistance of the White Army. The events take place in one of the towns they seized. A Red Army underground worker penetrates into an orchestra which entertains superiors of the White Army. He organizes sabotages there and tries to save local party functionaries.
