It is a story of one of accidental meetings which happened often during the war. An echelon with refugees and a train with soldiers have to stop for several days on Luhovaya station. This is where they met – a young girl and a newly-made lieutenant. They had to separate, but promised to write each other on address of the station which brought them together.
