The historical movie Wild field is an adventure story of Cossak outlaws produced by Nikolai Gusarov. The actions of the movie are taking place in a town Wild field on the Don in 1540. This is a sparsely populated area without any guarded boundaries which allow many nomadic peoples to attack these lands. The 16th-century film set, historical accuracy, dawning and prosperity of the Cossacks are shown in the movie. That's the story of people living in times of development of agriculture, craft industry and stock-raising from one side and of a grim invasion by nomads, among which the Turks were the cruellest and destructive from another one. A battle of a small Cossack detachment with enemies is a scene of the movie Wild Field. That's a bloodthirsty struggle having taken many brave warriors and a fight as a result of which a greater number of the Cossacks were captured by the Turks. Fortunately, one soldier managed to escape from the Turkish imprisonment. And having escaped, he took a secret. Before the man escaped, he heard a dying sotnik a story of a hidden coffer with Ryazan treasury. And then the Cossack with his sworn brothers come to the hetman Sidor and tells him the secret. The Cossacks, without a second thought, decide to find the coffer. From that moment on, the fascinating treasure hunting begins. The emotional background of the movie fuels the fact that the Turks know about Ryazan treasure and search it as well. Now two peoples have to fight not only for freedom but for the box filled up with the gold coins as well. The atmosphere of brave people's love of freedom and daring, good jokes and the euphonic Ukrainian speech of the Cossacks transfer the viewer to the 16th century. Eventually, the main treasure, which the main characters found, is the icon of the Blessed Virgin. The movie's authors again mention a topic of the Orthodox faith which has passed with our people many centuries and the issue of really important values.
