The events of the adventurous movie take place in 1927 in a small principal city. A former Red Army leader, Konstantin Vorontsov, becomes a new head of the Crime Investigation Department. A hardened criminal, Korney, appears in the city. Due to a successful operation, a place of the den of thieves is revealed, but Korney feels the ambush and changes the place of meeting at the last moment. Vorontsov doesn’t have a time to warm his people, and he has to go alone to the den.
