A building of a chemical plant begins in Ural. Peter Musatov, the head of the project, appoints Anton Kitaev as his deputy, who is his sister’s husband, an honest and direct person and a war veteran. Soon Anton understands that Peter is a typical careerist who follows only selfish ends. Kitaev comes against the superiors. As a result, an argument with his wife takes place, because she supports her brother in everything. Moreover, competition in love is added to the confrontation at work, because Peter and Anton are in love with one woman.
