Klemant is an uncommunicative moneylender. He is a new hope of his unmarried neighbor Sofia, who annually sends a cult of the lord of miracles in October. Their relationships begin on the day when Klemant finds a baby girl – the fruit of his connection with a vanished prostitute. While is looking for the baby’s mother, Sofia takes care of the girl and keeps the house. The appearance of these two beings allows Klemant reconsider his relationship with other people.
