Celta de Vigo was founded on August 23, 1923, after the merger of teams "Real Vigo Sporting" and "Real Club Fortuna de Vigo". It is the most famous team of Spain, representing the Galicia region. The main rival of the team is Club Deportivo de La Coruña, with which they compete in the Galician derby.
