The UEFA Europa League play-off draw will determine which pairs of opponents will compete for the remaining spots in the Round of 16. The event will take place at the House of European Football in Nyon, Switzerland. Half of the participants in the second play-off round were determined based on the general stage results — these are the eight teams that secured the highest positions in the standings. In the upcoming stage, teams ranked between 9th and 24th place will compete. As in the equivalent stage of the Champions League, the draw starts by pairing clubs from opposite ends of this ranking. The teams ranked 9th or 10th will play two matches against those ranked 23rd or 24th. The remaining pairs are formed progressively toward the middle of the list of sixteen teams in the Round of 32, which reflects their final standings in the general stage.

Teams ranked 9th to 16th will be seeded. They will play their home matches in the second legs, scheduled for February 20 — one week after the start of the next stage. Under the updated tournament format, clubs from the same national championship can now face each other from the beginning of the play-offs.

Additionally, matchups between teams that have already faced each other in the general stage are not ruled out. Before the final round of the mentioned stage, only Lazio had secured an automatic place in the Round of 16. The Roman club leads the standings and will retain its position even in case of a loss, as well as victories by Eintracht or Athletic, thanks to a superior goal difference.
