Montenegro and Armenia will face off in a friendly match at Gradski Stadium in Nikšić. The sides have met only once before on the Balkan Peninsula. During the 2018 World Cup qualifiers, the Brave Falcons routed the visitors from the South Caucasus in Podgorica, 4–1. Former Fiorentina and Monaco striker Stevan Jovetić scored a hat trick, while ex-Dinamo Zagreb and Netanya forward Fatos Bećiraj registered a goal and an assist. Armenia failed to gain promotion in the Nations League, suffering two heavy defeats against Georgia (0–3, 1–6). Over their last seven matches, the red-and-blues have managed just one win — against Latvia in Riga, 2–1. That remains the national team’s only road victory in nearly two years. Armenia has lost seven of its last nine away games and failed to score in only three of them.
