Oleksandr Usyk — Daniel Dubois. Exclusive Pre-fight Comments
Oleksandr Usyk — Daniel Dubois. Exclusive Pre-fight Comments
A fight between Oleksandr Usyk and Daniel Dubois is set to take place at London’s Wembley Stadium. The Ukrainian boxer is preparing to defend his WBC, WBO, WBA, and IBO championship titles, while the Briton is putting his IBF belt on the line. This will be a rematch of their bout from August 2023, which ended in the ninth round with a victory for the Simferopol native after Dubois was knocked down for the second time. Not even illegal moves helped “Dynamite” — at one point during the fight, the reigning IBF champion hit Usyk below the belt, forcing the referee to pause the match.
The media service is providing exclusive pre-fight commentary. In short interviews, subscribers of the platform will hear what both fighters expect from the upcoming battle. Speaking to ESPN, the WBC, WBO, WBA, and IBO titleholder revealed that he cannot train in Kyiv, as sparring partners are reluctant to travel to Ukraine due to ongoing safety risks. Usyk also responded to Tyson Fury’s wish for a third fight, calling him “crazy.” The Ukrainian champion will share his thoughts, concerns, motivation, and sources of inspiration.
Daniel Dubois is disappointed that the upcoming fight hasn’t attracted as much excitement as that of his fellow countryman, Anthony Joshua. Dynamite calls the unification bout against the Ukrainian the biggest fight of his life. The British boxer said he gained valuable experience and learned lessons, and now plans to bring chaos to the ring. He believes that facing a four-title champion is a great chance to prove his abilities.
