As a child, the now twenty-four-year-old Scott has a father who died while serving as a firefighter. Now he lives with his mother and sister on Staten Island. The boy has never come to terms with his parent's death, so he bums around all day, makes tattoos and smokes pot. When his sister leaves and his mother starts dating another male firefighter, the hero decides to break up her relationship.
