Villain Doctor Doom tried to take over the world with the help of an artifact known as the "Infinity Sword", but Iron Man stopped him. The Infinity Sword was broken in the Battle into the many pieces, fractals, that fell on the City of Superheroes. To regain the power of the Infinity Sword, Dr. Doom has collected a huge number of supervillains and founded Deadly Legion so the supervillains have found the fractals for him, each of which has a unique power. To prevent Dr. Doom from doing this, Iron Man led the team called The Super Hero Squad, which consists of Falcon, Hulk, Silver Surfer, Thor, Wolverine and Reptile. The composition is quite unstable - they are sometimes joined by other superheroes to fight with a threat.
