Fred is a famous composer and orchestra conductor, who refuses to perform on the birthday of Prince Philip despite the request of Her Majesty and he has good reasons for not doing so. Mick is an Oscar-winning director working on a new scenario for his ‘film-revelation’, but things are not going well too. Fred and Mick have been friends for a half of a century. They laugh at themselves and marvel the beauty and injustice of this world. Now they are on vacation in an elegant hotel at the foot of Alps, where they look with curiosity and tenderness on their children’s confused lives.
