In 1983, the people of Amsterdam were stunned by the news of the kidnapping of Alfred Heineken, the owner of one of the world's largest Heineken breweries. The criminals were several friends who decided to get rich quickly by kidnapping the richest man in the country and his personal driver right out of his car and demanding thirty-five million Dutch guilders in return.
