A budding young photographer, Marcin Wilczynski, works as a freelancer and one day settles into a dilapidated building in one of the oldest neighborhoods in Warsaw, Poland. The owner of the building wants him to make a photo report about the deplorable state of the building. Unexpectedly the hero gets acquainted with the alien but attractive world of the old capital.
