The family of 16-year-old David moves to Zlín, where the boy joins a new hockey team, the Wolves. He is determined to succeed, but the team already has a goalie, Miky, who is not about to give up his position. The team is unfriendly toward the newcomer. Captain Jerry and his buddies behave as they please while the others obey the laws of the pack. David has diabetes, but no show of weakness is tolerated here. David, who has become an outcast, tries to deal with the bullying, but the bullying only escalates.
