The action takes place during the Russian-Ukrainian war in Donbas. Gradually, the separatists and then the Russian troops take away from the villagers everything they have. The main characters live in Hrabove, not far from where the crash of the Boeing plane from Malaysia occurs. They are expecting a child, but cruel events change everything.
