On one of the great hills of snowy Laplad, a drilling rig is situated. Drillers find a layer of wood chips of 20 meters in the depth of 400 meters. Coming through it, they face a layer of ice and understand that this is not a hill but a giant burial mound which was created by people in Lapland in ancient times. Two boys from a nearby village, hiding behind boxes with explosives, hear how the drilling master, Mr. Green, gives an order to the workers to rob the grave before Christmas. One of the boys is sure that Santa Claus is buried under the hill.
