Lightning McQueen

Lightning McQueen is the franchise's protagonist, a legendary race car that has won eight Piston Cup trophies since his career began in 2005. Lightning now resides in the small town of Radiator Springs, where the hero has his own headquarters and stadium. Lightning is an incredibly gifted car and can perform various tricks during a race, overcoming obstacles and easing his way to victory. McQueen is a kind, positive and brave character, but the car wasn't always like this. Before moving to Radiator Springs, McQueen was bold and selfish, only concerned with two things — winning and prestige. Adventures and new surroundings forced McQueen to change his attitude toward himself and others for the better. Lightning has a best friend named Mater and his favorite Porsche girl, Sally. Lightning likes to race with his friends and enjoy a carefree car life in his spare time.
